Leicester South Band
Leicester South Band has a fine history of service to the church fellowship and the community spanning over one hundred years. The members of the current band are eager to maintain this tradition. Over the years the band has visited many Salvation Army centres throughout the British Isles as well as two visits to France and Germany.
In 1995 an ensemble from the band undertook a tour of Ghana which was an exciting experience and added yet another chapter to the band's history.
Wherever the band is it's mission is the same, to proclaim the gospel message. The current Bandmaster is Andrew Piper who is Head of Music at an Academy Trust.
