Children's Activities

The children's programme provides a warm, friendly and safe environment for children from babies to 14 years upwards.

The Sunday Programme starts at 11.00am-12.00pm at Saffron Road, South Wigston. You are welcome to bring your children along to join with us.

The Sunday school is divided into three age groups using material that follows the church calendar. The emphasis is on learning about Jesus in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with plenty to do and enjoy.

- Pebbles for babies and pre-school children
- Rocks for children aged 6-10 years
- Boulders for children aged 11-14 years

All our children and young people leaders have received 'Safe and Sound' training which puts into practice the Home Office Code of Practice 'Safe from harm'. "The Salvation Army is concerned with the spiritual, physical, mental and social welfare of each individual. We seek to safeguard all involved in Salvation Army activities. It is the responsibility of each one of us to prevent the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of youth and young people."
