Leicester Youth
The Leicester Youth consist of young people between the ages of 13 and 30. The
objective of the youth leadership is to cater for the spiritual and social needs
of young people. As Leicester is a university city, there is a regular flow of
young people that choose our church as their place of worship whilst they study.
The youth meet on a regular basis for food, fellowship and a look at the bible.
Now we have moved into our new premises, there are
further opportunities for the youth to meet on occasional Friday evenings to
chill out after a busy week at work, college or school, and in the summer months
for B-B-Q's.
The use of music in The Salvation Army is extensive, and the youth participate fully in the music ministry of the corps through a Girls Singing Group and a Youth Brass Band. We even have our own record label after the production of our first recording in 2002, and we hope to follow that up with another very soon.
We really do invite you to get involved with the Youth, and you can be assured of a great welcome from all of us.
